Well-structured no-nonsense pinot. Good fruit with the balance between the reds and plums well done. Used as the 2nd label for Duckhorns' Golden Eye brand this is a thoroughly enjoyable, easy drinking, long finishing bottle that offers super near term enjoyment. 88/90 24 by the box, 14.9% alc. WW

Found this orphan yesterday and opened it for the afternoon session of the US Open (BUCKO NOTE!...This is Tennis). Glad I did as this is definately on the ht down curve of its life. Dan had told me this was vinified for early drinking and now I believe him. Not dead by any means but the lively fruit is starting to fade. Still tasty. Would take it to 86 on todays' bottle. WW
