SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAIN VINEYARD 1981

Opened a bottle of this Pinot with plenty of witnesses...is drinking amazingly youthful at age 18...still dark color with no browning...very intense and concentrated flavor in the black fruit vein...earthy, dying rose complexity. It's a solid wine, if not one of SCMV's very best (still the 1977 for me). I'd give it a 90.
