Several, IMHO. WillaKenzie-Pierre Leon, Rex Hill-Reserve, Witness Tree-Vineyard, Cristom, Sokol Blosser-Redlands, and more......
Also, for a nice Pinot bargin, Flynn.
(I am really into the Cooper Mnt. pinot gris right now as well.)

I have been underwhelmed by Witness Tree and Cristom, personally. Belle Pente and St. Innocent remain my favorites, with Thomas a close second.

Thomas winery is owned and operated by a pharmacist who only makes wine in good years. Otherwise, he sells off his grapes. I went to a cellar orphan party, tried a 1988 Thomas and was blown away. I asked Bruce about the wine, got on the mailing list, and have been purchasing them for several years.

Hammacher is another small, quality winery, but I always try before I buy, because they have had a couple of so-so wines.

Another winery that I frequently purchase from is Springhill. They also make lovely Pinot Noirs.

Willakenzie, Elk Cove, St. Innocent. For a bigger (and sometimes oaky) style Archery Summit and Panther Creek are good, though expensive.

Broadley is an excellent producer, too, especially their Reserve.

Cheers,

I enjoyed all your responses. Quite a differenc of opinion, but thats what makes the grape go round. Of the wineries I'm familiar with, I like Chehalem, Elk Cove, Hammacher and Ponzi; particularly their reserves.

Again, thanks for the input.
