Anyone know of a good one for around $20? Am in a wine club and would like to find a nice one to present but unfortunately don't know much about the topic.

You might go for a 2000 Louis Jadot, Marsannay in that price range.

Ty, come to is-wine; I have something that will work for you--under $20.

IK, Marsannay is in the Cote de Nuits, just south of Dijon. Perhaps you were thinking of Maranges?

And East 5th Street is in the East Village--one day I am going to persuade TY to make the subway trip from wherever he/she is...

Yeah, I knew it, but it was the best Burgundy I knew of in that price range. Sigh.

Thanks for all the responses! I do want to visit your store, unfortunately it's not the most convenient place for me to get to (I'm UWS) and things have been crazed at work! I promise I will try to make it one of these days. I think we're going to go to a wine bar tonite and try out some different burgundies and see which ones we like - I will look for the Louis Jadot IK recommended. Will post our findings after.

UWS--Upper WasSup? Oh, right, Upper West Side. Ty, take a Saturday afternoon trip downtown, between 4 and 7 PM--always a tasting at the shop then.

We are hosting a wine dinner Nov 20 at a midtown restaurant. If you want info on it, email service@is-wine.com.

So which is it: male or female?

Female - I will see if we can make it down this Saturday, but not making any promises! We've also been assigned to bring something for dinner so may be busy preparing that (assuming we've found a wine by then). Not a lot of options at the wine bar last night so no reviews to report. Boyfriend bought a bottle of Maison Joseph Drouhin (Beaune) - anyone ever try it?
