chardonay and ?

I have a couple of bottles of 2001 thunder mountain chardonnay, one of which I was thinking of giving to a family member as a gift. I was thinking I would like to put together a nice basket with foods which would acompany it well. being a wine novice (I just turned 21 last month), I was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas for what to give with it. thanks in advance!

Hi Moony, and welcome to the Wine Board. That wine would be best with something creamy. If you are putting together a non-refrigerated basket recommend a small jar of upscale mayonnaise, some very nice canned salad ingredients, nuts, some fruit for accompaniment. Salute'.
