Had purchased this Haut Medoc over a year ago for $17.99 and laid it down. When she said she wanted steaks tonight, I looked for inspiration in the Eurocave and spotted this lonely orphan. It was just what the young Charolais' T-bones were looking for - a nose of black currant and spice, long tight legs, and smooth overripe fruit on the palate. Having a tough time laying off the sucker long enough to enjoy a last glass with her blackberry cobbler that's still in the oven.
