This Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois is a real kick-patootie bottle. Mouth numbed from oral surgery, tongue with only half-feeling and in about the same pain as attenting one of Dr. Buckos' lectures, decided to open this sucker. Rven in my impaired state this wine had its' say. Medium brite ruby, what I got of the nose was a core of red fruit with a cinnamon or ginger spiceness. Smooth entry, nice solid center and a 3-4 lapper finish. Can't wait to open another of these babys' whenced I can enjoy it more. 88-90/93
14 by the case.11% to 14% alc(Boy-Scout label proclamation). WW

Revisited this lovely booger yesterday and the flower is just about in full bloom. The nose had added some dustiness and pencil shavings along with a tad of plums. Solid entry, nice weight in the center and the finish is a solid 4 lapper. Still just a few supple tannins that need another 1-3 to integrate. A very solid effort from this Cru Bourgeous from the Haut Medoc in this killer vintage. Take it to a solid 90. WW

Had this for lunch today and it's at TTOIG without question.Smells good, tastes good IS good. About as much juice as you'll find for the buck. Take to a solid 91 and should hold for another 4-8. WW

RE: 2000 Chateau Labat
Opened another last nite and the jernt was jumpin'! About as good as a cru can become. Lovely aromatics, Silky entry, and persistant finish. Glad I went long on this hummer. WW
