nice innofensive wines finally decided to treat myself with an early B/D present. Looking in the cellar log I found the last bottle of 82 Pichon Lalande jumping from the page screaming " DRINK ME...DRINK ME!!! " so having low resistance of will due to my late illness I opened that hummer up. Still a deep ruby accentented by just the slightest of orange at the rim. Gorgeous nose of red and black fruits, Cocoa, candied peelings, spicy mineral notes and a whiff of cinnamon rolls. Soft silky entry, weighty center and the legendat 5 lapper finish. As lush as you can want in a drink. HAPPY B/D to moi! 100/100 29 on futures. 13.5% alc. WW

Even though he still has a few short years to get there, Verne probably knows based on his experiences with whatever dreaded bug he and CB had.

Tankee alla' youse (even Buck-snort). Was fun and this is a fun week. Lots of close friends, family, and bill collectors showing up for the free booze(not really top-notch) and food (really top-shelf) and so-so company. Am having a select few of my out-of-towners over to house to pillage the cellar for a few hours Sat afternoon. Will post when I decide which of the dreck I need to purge from the cellar, or maybe not. WW
