i'm thinking about picking up a bottle of one of these to have with christmas dinner. assuming they have had similar provenance (although i'm not sure how good the storage has been) and are the same price, which one would be preferable to drink this weekend?

I'm thinking 95, but wait for the big WW to chime in.

GAD: i was thinking it would be the 95 *if* provenance were assured to be good. in that case, i would guess the 94 could still use some more time. but since i have no provenance guarantees, i'm thinking the 94 might be the safer bet. but i've had neither, so i appreciate any and all input!

Newsie think I posted on both of these lately. They're both drinking very well at present. The 94 would be my preference if both were stored well. WW

FYI, i ended up getting a bottle of the '95 cause i was able to get it for $30 less than the 94. but after seeing WW's post on the 94, i need to get a bottle of that, too. maybe i'll drink the 95 in 07 and the 94 in 12. so many good wines, so little money. Turn the drinking dates around Newsie. The 95 has the longer life-span. WW

I'd put the sights on 06 or 08 to be certain on the 95. WW

ok, i'll forget the idea of drinking this bottle in 2012 for my 50th birthday. i'd say by that time, i should be able to buy any d-mn bottle i want to celebrate!
