This was the Reserve from Mendocino fruit. A friend from CA brought this out a few years a go and we sort of lost it. Dragged it out to pair with a porterhouse brought up by a friend from CT yesterday. Opened it up and the aromas of black fruits filled the kitchen making my mouth water. Took a taste and it filled my mouth with rich black fruits and cassis, and just a tiny hint of brett, but in a good way. Of course the tannins were pretty much resolved, still a hint left, but so smooth. Judy loved it, too, as did our friend, Don. He wanted to figure a way to get more. This was one of ww's four plus lappers.

You're right, it's a terrible shame. I'm sure you would have really liked it.
