Wait for the authoritative word from WW. In the interim the winemaker for Pride Vineyards is Robert (Bob) Foley. He's a real craftsman. 2002 was rated in the 88-89 range as a vintage for Cal cabs by Wine Spectator magazine. They say in a cool vintage the quality is spotty. Pride may still have a superb wine but 1997 or 2001 might be a surer bet.

Haven't tried the 02 yet but have lots of faith in Solid Bob. Have only had one of his cabs I didn't like or buy (98). The 01 Merlot and Cab are both super bottlings that are resting comfortably in the cave. Because the vineyards are dead on top of Spring Mtn and almost on the Sonoma cty line there isn't the vagaries of weather they have on the valley floor. 99% sure I'll probably buy. WW
