1997 Ironstone Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

A true reserve from this value winery. Dark in the glass with deeply perfumed black fruit and cassis. Like flavors with a deep core of bitter chocolate and cocoa nuances. Fully resolved tannins and a long finish put this at the top of it's game. Was highly rec. some time ago by my wine guy. 13.5% Alc/vol. $15 but drinks like a more expensive bottling. Label sez it was aged in small American and French oak barrels for 24 months then 12 additional months in the bottle before release.
