Which wine for japanese chicken?

Which wine should I serve with teriaki chicken? It's a japanese grilled chicken dish.

Not sure I know what makes a teriyaki chicken, but the last time I had the dish in a restaurant I remember a off-dry Riesling going well with it; of course memory slips now and again.

The teriyaki sauce is soya sauce, with a few other things thrown in. I think I may look at a riesling: thanks.
