Had this last nite with dinner. Really solid credentials from this killer vintage. Deep brite ruby. Developed nose of red fruits, earth, spices and ciger-box nuances. Great mouth-feel with a solid center and a 4-lapper finish. Still some soft tannins that needs another 2-4 for resolution. Great juice from the Disney folk. 90/92. 28 by the box.13.4% alc. WW

Judging by the Silverado Sauvignon Blanc I tried at a local restaurant, they had better stick to red wines.

I just bought a bottle of the 2001. Paid $36 for it; that's the most I have paid for a bottle to date. I assume it's ready to drink, but if not...

...how long should I let this one lie?

Thanks again IK. I have it sitting in my 70 degree house, so maybe '07?

Opened this for lunch yesterday. Bootiful nose that gives tons of red fruits, some spice and pencil shavings. Dead stony OTTOIG. The great structure will help this hummer hold for another 6-8. Take it to a solid 91. Ole' Walt wuld be proud! WW

Had another of this baby along with a 1997 White Rock Napa Meritage at lunch yesterday. The Disney product hasn't changed since the last bottle. The Whitey is another matter. With 4 of the 5 Bordeaux varietals this another hummer DOTOIG. Lovely nose and lovely entry with a 4+ lapper finish. Give it a solid 92/94. 34 by the box 14.1% alc. WW

WW, I also much like White Rocks wines. I love stopping in the winery which is a bit toned down from the Quintessa's and the Darioush's of the world and do love their wines.
