I bought this bottle of "Fay" at a local auction a couple of years ago. Does anyone know if this is ready to drink now or if it can lay down longer? I recently had a 1996 Raymond "Generations" and it was absolutely fabulous! Hoping this is too!

Hi Wine4me, and welcome to the Wine Board. It should be ready, and should hold over the next two or three years.

Hi Wi4 and add my welcome to the board. I'm sure I've posted on this lovel;y wine several times during the last 2-5. Go back on the thread and see if you can find it. I can assure you from memory that ANY wine from Nathan Fays great vineyard is alive and well if resting comfortably in a friendly environment. WW

Thanks for the welcome! I did do a search for this wine and couldn't find anything...so I asked. I'll look again. And my "FAY" is resting in a dark, cool basement! I am so excited about finding this forum. Looking forward to browsing through all the areas. But my heart belongs to Cab!

Wine4 I've looked back and find for some reason I skipped on the 96 Stags. I've posted on the 94s and 97s and after checking think the 96 would rank very close to these outstanding vintages. WW
