This elegant blend of 50% Napa merlot, 36% cabernet and 14% cabernet franc is sleek, polished and about as Bordeaux-like as Calif wines get. Distinct floral nose with roses and violets hitting on all petals, sweet candied notes and a touch of spiciness to boot. An entry as beguiling as Lana Turners' smile, a center that literally caresses the tongue and a 4-lapper finish. Enough soft tannins to warrant holding this beauty another 2-3 before kicking the " Drink " mode into high gear. Lovely stuff. 30 bucks by the case. 92/91. WW
