My youngest daughter and her friend came by yesterday afternoon to have a " Before Xmas"
party. Her friend is a renaissance woman she met in Taos who was originally from Germany. Ushi was quite a gal. She is now going to Boston to Sen Kerrys' personal chef and right-hand gal.Anywhoos the two of them are heading to Taos for Xmas and a birthday party. The 94 St was the lead-off juice. Deep ruby, with effusive aromatics. This was one of Dennis Johns' last winemaking efforts at St before going full time at his own label,White Cottage from his small vineyard on Howell Mtn. Full throttle Napa with a ton of up-front fruit, a decidedly sweet impression in the spices, chocolate and cassis. Clean entry, a solid mid-palate and a 4+-lapper finish. Can use another 2-4 to resolve some fine background tannins. 90/93. 22 by the box. The 97 Tapestry is a work in progress, but one heck of a work. With the normal Bordeaux varietals without the Malbec this bottle sings, albiet Baritone.Still evoplving but without a doubt will join the ranks of BV hallmark wines. Needs another 4-6 and then hold onto your tastebuds. 90-94/93. 34 by the box. WW ( Ushi approved of both bottles)

Sen Kerry? Sen. John Kerry who's running for the Democrat nomination? The Sen. Kerry who now trails Al Sharpton and is tied with Carol Moseley-Braun (or however you spell it)? The Sen Kerry who's remortgaging his home so he can get some money to lend his campaign $850,000 so he can pay his staff? That Sen. Kerry?

Talk about an all-time bad investment..... Good thing Kerry's wife is loaded so he can absorb the inevitable loss.

WW, is Ushi platinum blond maybe, in her late 40's to early 50's perhaps.....?

Rite age platform but the only way her hair would be platinum blonde is with LOTS of peroxide. WW

KC, Kerry's using his initials: JFK--talk about shameless (if not useless) promotion...

Even if he were vulcanized to loosen himself up he still would have no chance.

What a loser!!! When you're so far behind Al Sharpton, it really is time to pack it in. I saw a pre-recorded (obviously - or maybe not) political ad for Kerry a few hours ago. It made him look as if he and Dean were the front runners. Politics is such BS. Judy and I are registered unaffiliated, but we both get Kerry ads in the mail at least twice a week. Neither one of us have ever looked at the ads - recycle fodder. We each got a call from his committee on our separate phones about three months ago and we both told whoever was on the other end that we thought Kerry was a loser, but they keep spending money to send us snail mail ads at least twice a week. What a terrible organization.
