Wine/Food Affinities

Can anyone mail me something about the combination of the caracteristics of wines with the ones of the food?
I have to do an evaluation form to a tasting session of wines and food. Can anyone help me?

Might I suggest that you do the evaluation youself? Go to a local restaurant. Order different dishes you like. Put yourself at the mercy of your waiter/wine captain and have them select a wine for each dish.

Sample the wine. Clear your palate. Sample the dish. Clear your palate. Sample the wine with the dish. Then do your own evaluation of the wine with the dish.

I think maybe the question was not quite clear... Do I understand that you are trying to write a form/questionaire that other people will use during a wine tasting? And that you need to know different characteristics that you might put on that form? Please clarify...

It is relatively elemental. Sweet with sweet. Acid with acid. Fruit with fruit (and vegetables). Big with big. Oak with friends, but not with food.

Tiago -- got your e-mail. Everybody -- the above question is the issue -- Tiago is trying to create a questionaire/tasting form for others to fill out in evaluating wine & food pairings. I understand the question but I am much too much a newbie to have an answer. I know y'all will know where to turn...does anybody know if there's some sort of standard form lurking around these boards?
