While helping a friend move I came across a bottle of Duma Cabernet Sauvignon 1988. I am not a big wine drinker but my father fancied himself as an expert and I've never heard him mention this one.
It's my friend's intention to turn it into vinagar as she does not drink at all. I've convinced her to at least wait until we find out more about it!
Does anybody know anything about Duma?

His NanCham and welcome to the board. When I read the phrase " I came across" i envisioned the storage and think your friend doesn't have to do much. It's probably already salad oriented. WW

The Duma has been kept in a basement in Missouri, average temp 70 degrees year round but fairly damp year round. I don't know how long and neither does my friend. I would guess for at least a few years.
I'm curious about where it's produced etc. I didn't find any info on the bottle as to location of production. There was some language that was not English. I'm guessing that it's Swiss or Italian (combination?) but it's only a guess.

I'm trying to get another look at the label but since my friend just moved, the bottle needs to be located again! Will post as soon as we find the wine!
Thanks
