I wish to buy a bottle of Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon and wish to know what a reasonable price would be to pay? This is for a gift and since I am new at this, I am uncertain as to whether or not I am being asked to pay a reasonable price.

Hi Daisylady, and welcome to the Wine Board. A very helpful site is www.wine-searcher.com It will let you know what your wine is retailing for all over the country and for that matter the world. You do have to enter a vintage. I would guess that only 1998s are available though you might find a '97 which is much better.

Hi Daisylady and welcome to the board.If the SO's are 1996 the Alexander Valley is around 50-55 dollars. The Napa is around 80 bucks. The 97 Alex is just being released and shouls come in at around 65-70 dollars. WW
