A friend of mine has a case of 1985 cakebread
cab. His deceased father was a collector. We know very little about this wine or the many others he has. The wines were kept in near perfect conditions. We did enjoy one bottle of the cakebread. Is there any value to this wine and how do you sell a wine collection?

Hi DMFD and welcome to the board. If the collection is large enough one of the auction houses in New York ( Zachys, Christies ) etc should be contacted. You can get their phone #s from the classifieds in the back of the Wine Spectaator magazine. If the 85 Cakebread is indicative the collection has some value but also nrrds to be sold sooner rather than later. Good Luck! WW
