Brite medium ruby. Nose of red fruits, flowers, and sweet spices. Soft entry, solid center and a nice 3&3/4 lapper finish. At or close to the top of its' game. No noticible tannins.A glimpse of Rutherford dust on the finish. As usual, a solid offering from this outstanding Napa producer. 89/90. 20 by the box. 13% alc. WW

For a second, I thought WW may be older than I had previously guessed and his cellar deeper than I could have imagined.

It's just those little ole fat fingers again. After awhile you get to know what he means by all those wayward keystrokes, and we just translate ---- or is it transliterate ---- to get to what he really means. Gotta love it. We do, and we wouldn't have him any other way. It's just the Weener being the Weener (GAD - you'll appreciate that reference).

WW, I have bought this fantastic bottling for the past four years. What do you think the proper aging (generally speaking) is for this bottling? I have the 00, 01, and 02 vintages.

Thanks much!

Oz I normally start on their Napa at the 6-7 mark and in the better vintages they seem to peak at the 9-11 mark. This sucker is about as good as it's gonna' get....IMHO. WW
