....was a WA State wine. Consensus Gold, Best Red Wine, and then Best of Show:

1998 Preston Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. It is a dandy.

As always, Indy is a blast to judge at. Their sock-it-to-me committee hands out 'awards' to several unsuspecting souls. Dan Berger got the Cork Dork award for sending back the most corked wines. Daryl Groom got the Pillsbury Doughboy Award for requesting the most bread during the tasting. I was awarded the Kick Ass Award for the person who is most 'Polictically Correct.' I wonder why I received such an honor? Then can just kiss my a... oh, wait a minute, I digress. }:>

Seriously now, if you get a chance, try this wine. It shows what WA can do with the grape.
