Hello Wine Experts

I am just beginning to drink to redwine. Please advise me which is the best one in health point of view. How much to drink?
When to drink? Throw some basics. I am just starting as I heard that red wine is good for health.

Thanks

Hi Kala, and welcome to the Wine Board. There is a modicum of evidence that pinot noir may be the healthiest. Recommend two glasses (6-8 oz) per day with dinner or other meals. One advantage of pinot is that it does not practically demand red meat as some other red wines do. You can drink it with pork including ham, sausages, salmon and other oily fish, chicken legs, game birds, and veal; as well as with lighter beef products such as roast beef, fillet steaks, and burgers.

Thanks.

If I drink 2 glasses, will I be steady? How many glasses of this type of red wine will make a man to loose control ?

As with all types of alcohol depends on height and weight. Most people can handle two glasses a day without any problem.

hello, i have read many articles in the past and present on this exact topic. i have heard cabernet (my fav) and merlot are the healthiest as far as the bioflavanoids and tannins, which are the prime reason for red wine being so healthy. i feel all red wines are pretty much healthy. i have also read that red wines with higher alcohol content are made with better grapes..but the latter could be a myth..out of all this, i am still waiting for a complete down to earth stable finding on all of these studies. it seems every article i read on these studies, one contradicts each other..
