Well, the wholesaler database is supposed to be up and running by the end of the year at www.wineshopper.com. Any thoughts/opinions on whether a wholesaler-supported wine shopping site will be adequate for consumers? Do you think the anti-alcohol groups will turn on the wholesalers and attack them, even though they're supposedly allies right now? How do you think Senator Hatch will respond to this effort? Lots of interesting issues...

Without a doubt in my mind I expect the anti alcohols to turn against the idiot wholesalers who got in bed with them -- just a matter of time.

Hatch will not like anything connected to access to alcohol -- he is religiously anti, unless of course he secretly downs his Schnapps in the closet, which is the politician's way.

As for consumer choice -- that will be interesting to watch. And when this site is up, what happens to the specious argument about all those minors getting all those shipments of wine?
