Wine tasting in Providence

I am looking for a wine tasting event in the Providence, RI area in January or February. I am hoping to find something with a solid variety of wine, the selection can be somewhat general and not so esoteric. Any suggestions?

The above website is usually one of the better sources for tasting events but doesn't have what you are seeking. It lists some wine expert certification courses in January in Providence but these are expensive classes over several weeks. I checked for a Tasters Guild group in Providence or anywhere in Rhode Island and no chapters were listed in that state.
Your best bet is probably to make contact with the wine shops in Providence and see what tastings they might be holding or know about.
