Did a bit of searching for you, as I'm sure others here have as well, & came up w/ nothin'. One madeira site list Henriques & Henriques, but none older than 1900.
Good luck, & more importantly, enjoy the wine! cp

Hi Vickie and welcome to the board. Madeira is one of the longest lived of all the dessert wines. It`s quite common to find 100-plus year old bottles for sale at retail.I hope you`re not expecting this bottle to have tremendous value. Tinamou Wine Co. Specializes in old ports and Maderias`.Their wats # is 800 388 6390. They could probably give you some info on this bottle. My advice is always, " Pop the cork on that sucker and Pray" winoweenie

USING ALL UPPER CASE on a bulletin board or in an E-mail is construed as SHOUTING. Imho, it is rude to shout at people. It is especially rude if you are trying to get them to do something for you.

Vickie, You most likely did not get a slew of answers to your post because there are just not a slew of answers available.

You could try contacting Southeby's and see what they might have to say. Or you could try contacting Wine Spectator and see if they can help you.

You could also try Wine Searcher and see if you can get any information there - www.winesearcher.com.

Good luck! I hope you get the information.
