Knapp New York Brut Sparkling Wine ($13.95, Alcohol level 12%). There are a few things wrong with the nomenclature on this one. It is not Knapp; it is produced and bottled via transfer method at Glenora, Knapp's parent company. Next is better than New York, it is produced entirely from various Finger Lakes whites. Also it is not a Brut; it carries 1.5% RS. Despite all this it is a lovely sparkler at a good price.

We enjoyed it at New Year's Eve dinner last night with broiled loin lamb chops, baked Yukon Golds, and braised red cabbage. Yum!
