'11 Rocca dell Olmo, Barbera d'Asti

2011 Rocca dell Olmo, Barbera d'Asti (under $10 at Trader Joe's; Alcohol level 13%). This is an easy drinking wine with loads of fruit on the nose and upfront, it has a silky texture in the middle, and finishes short and nice. We matched it with broiled Italian sausages and pasta in our own tomato sauce, and Italian flat green beans from our garden cum freezer. Yum!
