Went with burgs for the feast for 11 people: 2008 Dom. Rossignole Volnay and 2010 Roux Pere & Fils Pouilly-Fuisse. One turkey breast was cooked in a crock pot and a 17 lb whole bird was smoked over oak, 200-220 deg. F. for 5 1/2 hours. Sides were pretty traditional - sage dressing, whole cranberries, etc. - but daughter's spud & leek casserole blew everyone away! Desserts included a chocolate pecan pie, and that's as far a I got.

The wines were OUTSTANDING! (hic, burp)

Wishing for a wee dram o' malt, but will wait for D's return later tonight (we drove separately).... don't like to get juiced-up while she's on the road, in case a cavalry charge to the rescue is called for.

Wine is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented grapes or other fruits.

So, what's your point, Janet Willson? Are you just being Captain Obvious, and what does this have to do with the original post from three years ago?

Enough of this already. "Janet" is banned for wasting our time. Sorry to everyone who has put up with this nonsense.
