Hmm I thoguht i posted on this.

Had a Scot friend over for dinner so i wanted to make him think more manly of me

Big hitter fer sure. Nose is actually a bit reserved, you know the power is there but..then you start to smell the fruit, orange, dried fruits, some peat, some spices, more on the fruit side than spices side. big drink. I used only a few drops of water to continue this manly impression could've put a lot more in....actually would have preferred a single icecube...(GASP!!!).

Nice enough and big enough but not for th efaint of heart nor for that relaxing sit down sipper. Needs friends.

Can't recommend highly enough for hard-core Scotch addicts to look into joining the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in Edinburgh. Google it, and you'll find an office in Boca Raton. Initiation fee is $260 (last time I looked) and annual dues are $60, for the opportunity to purchase true one-of-a-kind bottlings of single malt, single cask whiskies. The 24-yr-pld our young Scottish friends brought me last year had to set them back about $600. Still have about 1/3 bottle - hit it again last week with SIL to celebrate daughter's pregnancy (I'll finally become a grandpa after my 70th b-day). That stuff is incredible, the tears of angels.

BTW, on my way past duty free this time...picked up a Highland Park 21 year old.....

My favorite distillery. Buy one of them dudes every December and treat meself to one to 5 fingers nitely. My normal bottling is the 12-yr-old. WW
