Mendoza, Argentina.
The nicest malbec I've had to date. Just beautifully elegant with plum, dark cherry, blackberry, currant, dark chocolate and bitter expresso notes. Wonderfully balanced and silky with a gaggle of fine tannins on the linguring finish. 14.1% alc/vol. Paid $21 but I saw it many places on the net for less. Very good bang for the buck. Enjoyed this last night after the wine show in the gazebo with Eileen and Ann on a nice, 55 degree night.
