Birthday. Have some Gruet Rose in the fridge so I'm hanging up the shingle on the sabbatical for today.Lunch at the James Hotels marvelous restaurant then on to one of my grandaughters dance recital at the Scottsdale center. Maybe I can slip my flask in in my shorts pocket!WW

Wish her our best. Too bad you didn't get that TJ Chard out of hock for it.

She didn't suffer. Had a 2000 Gruet Grand Rose for breakfast, opened a 1999 Dehlinger Unfiltered for her dessert, then had a marvelous lunch at Fiamma Rest in Scottsdale with a lovely 2002 Byron Pinot and the manager gave us a 1920 Maderia with some gorgeous cheeses and nuts as a B/D present. All-in-All a pretty keen day for my love. The Maderia was lovely with some nutty, spicy flavors dominating. WW

My wife's B'day today too. No wine tonight, Asahi beer with sushi. Tomorrow a big Mother's Day party. The jerk pork shoulder went in the smoker an hour ago. 14-18 hours and we'll be ready to roll. I'm thinking some nice cold rose's with this caribbean fare.

Lautaa, Very smartly decorated and with service to match. Lots of airy spaciousness coupled with an outstanding wine list and kick-patootie food. Deserving of the press. WW
