I have a cooler which has been in my garage for several days. My collection of assorted reds, whites, and sparklings has been stored at 55 degrees. A malfunctioned occurred in the cooler on a Saturday and I did not discover it until Monday. The temp in the cooler was 100 degrees when I found it. The cooler was not damaged or opened during these 2 days and it is still functioning. The wines have cooled back to 55 degrees. I am wondering if they are damaged and is there a way to know, absent opening them ?

Check for leakage of the still wines (if the sparklers are leaking, you would know it by the explosion). If you see evidence of leaks or corks that were pushed out a little, the wines likely are shot.

Other than that, the only way to know is to open them--any wine stored for more than a day at 100 degrees will be affected, but to what extent you can't know.
