No answer, so left a message on his voice mail. Let's hope he responds.

'S OK, we hadn't called out the wine police yet. They were busy trying to keep WW upright, anyway.

Sorry, WW. Couldn't resist. You should hear the flak I take on Tuesdays (recycling day), when the empties get dumped into the recycling truck.

Mondays are giggle-rama 'round here. My neighbors can almost call how many empties go to the recycler. WW

Here in NY recyclers don't want colored glass anymore--now I can go back to hiding them in with the garbage...

Here is Maine we have to return locally purchased wine bottles to collect the $.15 deposit on the them. When I take my non-returnable wine bottles to the transfer station, I put my regular trash and garbage with the the $1 sticker on each bag into the compactor, my paper (less envelopes with windows), cardboard, and plastic into the recycling bins; then the station supervisor reaches for my wine bottles and says, "I'll take care of those." Don't know if he's putting counterfeit deposit stickers on them, or whether they're building a case on me.

Maybe he has a vineyard and bottles a little juice on the side, for which he needs all the free empties he can hustle....
