i was on vacation recently - had Jacob-Demmer 1999 Piersporter-Michelsberg Riesling/Spatlese wine in Vail, CO, but cannot find at home in Milwaukee, WI - have called numerous liquor stores - how/where can I get some - please reply - thanks - Anna

Hi Anna, and welcome to the Wine Board. Tried www.wine-searcher.com and could not find any wines in the USA by that producer with or without a hyphen. There are many other Piersporter-Michelsberg Riesling Spatlese's available in this country, and Milwaukee is a good place to find them. Recommend you try some others.

It's Jakob Demmer (with a 'k'). A google search will turn up a number of entries although I didn't check them all out to see if Milwaukee was listed.

I looked for it as well, and found it under akob Demmer. However, the only place it appears to be available is in a few restaurants. I haven't found a single retailer that carries this wine, or any of the Jakob Demmer line. Hmmm.
