Received a gift of 750 ML bottle of 1989 La Grande Dame Champagne and would like to know the market value of same.

Somewhat expensive. Try the databases at Wine Spectator or at Wine Search and they might have more specific information.

Be that as it may, you are not going to get rich trying to sell one 750 ml bottle of wine, not matter what it is. Wine sales are usually in case lots at auction or at private sales. Generally, the minium bottle size of preference for these sales is the magnum.

You have a decent champagne. Chill it down, pop the cork (carefully) and enjoy your bottle of bubbly.

The '89 has been listed between $100 - $130 here in South Texas over the last six months, depending on retailer promotions. To get an idea of what the Grande Dame tastes like, try a bottle of Clicquot Yellow Label (non-vintage); it should be available for $44 or so. The GD is a softer, more elegant version, and the '89 is excellent.
