Cult or Iconic or whatever term white wines

Still on the education trail so looking to add a few stripes but need your help to id.

There are always the most famous wines, such as Petrus, Yquem, Lafite, DRC, etc, etc, etc and these are the top end expensive wines. But over the last few years, I've come across what people have called, Cult or Iconic, or Ultimate Insider wines,.... or however we want to call them. These then to be the wines of distinction that are not from the most popular varietals, not from Bordeaux or Burgundy but are still rather pricey, compelling, and still famous wines.

I've been lucky enough to try a few of these and they include

Josko Gravner
Nicholas Joly
etc,

I'm going to get to try Grillet tonight, my first and might even be able to dig into didier's Silex.

What are the other whites of this type that I should keep an eye out for?

Oh man, Let me know how the Didier is if you try it. I wanted to try his wines before he died, and now it looks like I won't ever get to. I'm curious about the Condrieu, also. I've never had Grillet.

Three I'd add to your list are Silvio Jermann, Jean Bourdy Cotes Jura Blanc, and Frank Cornellisen's Etna orange wines.

We have some Didier in the shop and I've been thinking I have to try it soon. I just may pull the trigger.

Vincent Dauvissat or Raveneau Chablis at the Grand Cru level (although watch out for prematurely oxidized bottles)

Top Alsace Riesling such as Trimbach Cuvee Frederic Emile Riesling.

Just added Chateau Grillet to the tried list. Not as mindblowing as I would have hoped but better for having tried it.

I realize that these aren't French...but one American Cult white that I'm in love with is the Viognier from Failla. I think it's really amazing juice.

I just managed to get my hands on a bottle of Kongsgaard Viognier Roussanne blend. I plan on drinking it this Friday. I can hardly contain my glee.
