Sparkling Wines

I just recently wrote but do not know if it went through. My concern is in reference to the way you are supposed to handle the sparkling wine. Are you supposed to smell in the glass the sparkling wine in the same manner that you do with regular wines? Please advise. Thank you!

Hi Enrique and welcome to the board. I use the same technique with sparklers as with my reds....swirl, sniff , then taste. WW
