sabbatical today as BRW and moi got our Santa Cruz Mtn Wine Club shipments last week. As I type I have the 2004 Duriff splash decanted and the 2005 Branciforte Pinot Noir open and airing in the cellar. Can't pimp this vineyard any harder than I have for the last 28 years. FYI the Duriff won a gold and the Pinot a DOUBLE gold at the San Francisco Chronicle wine judging. Of course I know the price will rule out many of the less fortunate on the board as the Duriff nets to 14.40 per and the Pinot to the princely sum of 25.60 for buying ONE case.
