Dear Friends,

As many of you know, I had major abdominal surgery on Feb 8th to correct a colon condition at Stanford University Hospital here.

For the next 3 months, the incision refused to heal despite attention from nurses 1-2-3 times a day. Depressing, horrible time.

Finally the surgeon decided to take X-rays to see what was wrong. They found a SPONGE had been left inside me in February.

Of course, I had to have another surgery to remove it. It's been just over a month now and I am FINALLY feeling better. I think I'm now back for good, much stronger and healing fine.

I really want to thank our moderators and all you resident experts who have carried taken care of everything while I was out of it. I'd peek in sometimes but (forgive me) just did not have the heart to write anything... and didn't really want to talk about my medical situation cause I wasn't sure WHEN I'd ever get well!!

Thanks again to everyone. I hope to be more responsive now that I'm really back.

Jackie

It's great to hear that you're on the way to recovery... finally. It's incredible to think such things still happen but I told you not to use Winoweenies Doctors. BTW below is a link to a photo of WW with his attending Physicians.

Wow, what a horror story! But welcome back! We've degenerated only slightly in your absence..... still a bunch of not-so-juvenile delinquents.

Welcome, welcome , welcome. Boy, have you had a time. Hopefully the VA is a little more careful with their sponges, as I may be paying them a visit soon.

Promise we won't say anything about SEARCHes or HTMLs for at least a day or two.

Drew, you hit the nail on the head. Those docs were his second choice after Bombastic Bushkin kicked him out....

As for you Mr Drewskie, I couldn't open the slanderous, completely false photo. I'll try again this PM when I have more time and will take appropriate action then. Seeing as how Bucko giggled I know I'll be contacting MY BARRISTER IMMEDIATELY. ww

Jackie, welcome back. There are reasons why they call it medical "practice"...some of 'em just need more than others!

And Drew, Mr. Weenie's picture should certainly be included in the CCK Wine Board photo album
