I apologize if this is a dumb question but let's just say that you had a self contained tempurature controlled cellar unit and you put in there 6 bottles of corked wines to put down for a few years. Would they be able to impact nearby bottles and make then corked as well?

Not likely.

Open one of those TCA tainted wines in the cellar and let a little of it spill on a surface, especially wood, and you might be in trouble later, but that's if you are producing wine or storing it in barrels. Once it is under cork, it is highly unlikely to spread to a neighbor.
