You speak from experience, I'm sure! No wonder you spent so much time in the corner. You're very fresh, Bucko! (But cute!)

Happy happy B day Georgie!! hope it was a good one. Can't we get a picture of Bucko in shorts? It could go in the calendar of Wine Board Men! WD

Bucko in shorts? Now that would blow a few CRTs.

Fresh -- According to the Merriam Winoweenie Dictionary this translates to a**hole. I'll fess up to that! Hope you have a great B'Day!

Thank you, one and all. You certainly helped to make my birthday enjoyable. Now it's after 9pm. Time for this aging school marm to toddle off to bed! But before I do, I will pass along my favorite quote on growing old: "You're only young once, but you can be immature forever!" Guess that's why I like this crowd as much as I do! Re, that calendar: when my wife and I first met she was part of a welcome party at the airport as I returned from a trip; she was a friend of a friend of mine. So, we all make our way to an airport restaurant where we sit for a few glasses of the best wine an airport has to offer (gag).

I still had that popped-ear syndrome I often get from flying--my hearing wasn't so great.
I could have sworn that my future wife's first words to me were: "why, you've got great legs." Today, she claims what she actually said was: "the wine has great legs."

If I could prove her original point by posing in the calendar alongside Bucko--whom I am told has abysmal legs--then maybe she would relent to the truth...

I wasn't rejected -- it was merely a strong suggestion...... cough.

What a great story, Foodie. Just think...if you'd have heard her correctly things might not have turned out as they did. I mean you just gotta love a woman who tells you you've got great legs ten minutes after you've met!

Liked the story Foodie. I have a humorous tale of how I met the guy I almost married.
He was a medic in Germany in my first civilian tour over there. Actually, I had met him once before at the dispensary through a mutual friend but we hadn't started dating or anything. Then I drove from Darmstadt to Frankfurt for a Christmas party. On the way back it was snowing and the wipers weren't keeping up with it very well. I got a few blocks from post (at the time I lived in the BOQ) and hit the back of a big parked truck which had mud covering the reflectors and was not near a street light. Scottie was on the ambulance that came to the scene. I was wearing a seat belt and only suffered a scraped knee (hit against the dashboard) but he took me to the dispensary to clean up the minor bruise and put disinfectant on it. Then he asked me to a Christmas party and we started dating. When asked how we met, he later said "I picked her up on the streets of Darmstadt." I said "You could say we met by accident."

That's a cute story. As for the calendar, I'd definitely buy one of those babies!

I sent one (along with pictures of the cellar) to Jackie a couple of weeks ago. Still haven't figured out how to use the timer on the digital camera, so it's still an arm's length view.

What the hell. I'm 6'3", 220 and an old fart. That about says it all.

That they do! I enjoy the air up here at 6'3" as well!
Hotwine, isn't it a shame to have to look down our noses at everyone?
