just finally made reservations at the inn. as for flight out, when are most people leaving? is it realistic to think that i can enjoy all the festivities sunday and still be on a 6 p.m. flight out of buffalo, or should i just take monday off work, too, and fly back monday afternoon? i'm starting to think that driving to the airport sunday afternoon after three straight days of imbibing probably isn't the best idea.

also, when are most folks getting in? as things stand now, my flight would get into buffalo at 11 a.m. thursday, so i'd be at the inn by midafternoon. i hope i assume correctly that people plan on getting together for a little vino thursday afternoon/evening... ww, let me know what you are able to get, flightwise. If we are to meet up in NYCity, I need to co-ordinate your schedule with mine, or should it be the other way around.

I don't know what Gene at Glenora has in store for the group. But those who are staying until Monday might be able to make it over to my place on Sunday, where we can have a picnic on the grounds, provided it isn't one of those May days when winter decides to return.

Glenora is on Seneca Lake; my home is on Keuka Lake, west of Seneca; it takes a minimum half hour to drive from one to the other, maybe a few minutes more.

We're planning on driving out Friday morning to arrive about noon. Depending on what needs to be done back home, we may be leaving either sometime Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.

i'm starting to think that flying in friday AM and getting to the inn by 1 p.m. will work, and then flying out monday afternoon.

so, exactly what is on the "agenda" for friday and saturday?

That is up to Glenora.

For those who will stay until Monday, and if Glenora has no plans for Sunday, I will get a picnic on my property off the ground, pun intended. But we have to watch the weather before we can commit to something definite. That time of year can still be volatile in the Finger Lakes.

From what I've seen of your recipes, that can be a good thing, Carl. Maybe I could whip up a batch of Gougere if there's some sparklers involved.

The gougere sounds good. I copied a recipe off the web but have never made it.

ww, it takes five hours to drive from NY City to the Finger Lakes--we will be leaving in the morning, arriving in the afternoon, if I don't drop you off in Pennsylvania for being a nudge in the car...
