Hey all. It's beginning to look like a picnic on my grounds will be difficult. I am not giving up, but it won't be what I wanted it to be.

I have one smoker (salmon anyone?) and MIGHT have a usable stove indoors, but that is up fro grabs. The new stovetop will not have been installed yet.

Anyone have a spare smoker or grill he or she can bring along. Gene, do you have one?

I've been asking Gene about the case of booze sent illegaally to his Hostel all last week and finally when he got back last Sat he said he hadn't seen that sucker. Seems his well-trained staff, seeing it caame from me, had placed it in the cellar awaiting my arrival. Saves sending another box up.WW

How about if I add smoked hens to the menu? Tell me she eats chicken.

The porposed menu will have to be simple: smoked salmon, smoked hens, grilled vegetables, cheeses and breads. Georgie is supplying dessert, I think.

IK, I likely will not need your expertise as we earlier discussed. Back then, I was not thinking about kitchen renovation!!!

I could never do that - ever! I'm too smitten. Anyway, she likes chicken and beef - maybe a little pork. Very picky eater, but I've learned to cope.

We'll be there Sunday. We plan on bugging out Monday sometime.

Maybe I'll alter the contents of the box I'm bringing. Maybe instead of the Cabs (which WW is covering quite well) I'll bring some Central Coast Pinot Noirs (Loring, Siduri, ROAR) to match with the salmon. What say you? I'll still bring a few of the 1987 Guigal Hermitage, which is tasting lovely.
