My doctor says I can have one or two small glasses of wine this weekend! She wants me to wait three months before she'll give me the green light to have more, but this is a start!
My SO and I have plans to go to a nice restaurant this Saturday night to celebrate my completion of therapy, and I'll be enjoying my first taste in almost two years. Thought this day would never come!

Thanks everybody. Our fancy dinner had to be postponed but I made sure I had some alcohol! My first was a Miller Lite with a burger at a casual dockside eatery in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The weather was absolutely perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor lunch while watching the fishing boats come and go. I also had a glass of some sort of pinot noir (Cavit) I think, at the Olive Garden with my father's sisters aged 92, and 94. I spent the day with them yesterday clothes and grocery shopping, hearing aid appointment, etc. Dealing with the old gals with their canes, walkers, hearing and sight impairments....(not to mention the bickering between the two of them)I needed a BOTTLE of wine rather than a glass! But it tasted great all the same. I went home and took a three hour nap! Seems like only yesterday that these two were teaching us to jump double-dutch. It's hell to get old, that's for sure. Thank you for all your good wishes, folks. It's good to be back with y'all.
