Welcome to the board!

You can go to the area called Learn about Wines", then click on "FAQ" and they will have a section on new to wine people looking for sweet wines. Plenty of suggestions there.

The link is also here.

Banfi make a sparkling wine called Rosa ----- (can't remember the rest of the name) that is a raspberry flavored sweet wine. It's about $19 a bottle, and very delicious.

Bern,

That would be Rosa Regale, a wonderful sparkler made from the Brachetto grape.

My favorite sweet wine is a moscato. I drink one from Italy called Vallerbo I think. It has a picture of Van Gogh's Starry Night on the label. It is about $10 a bottle and is a DOCG wine.

KC, Yes, that's it! It was a big hit at Epcot this fall. I saw lots of people drinking it, so I had some, and it is really really good.

I think it would go great with a dark chocolate dessert.

If you liked that, try a sparkling Shiraz from Oz.

Always got to go with Spatlese level German Riesling when I got a sweet tooth. Look for Dr. Loosen. Its readily available and good on the quality.
