I was clean out a basement in old mansion in New Jersey and found a wine cellar that was hidden
There was about 1000 bottles of old wines and liquors dated from early 1930's to 1950's
I would like to know how to research if they are worth anything.

The liquors should be fine, the wines most likely long since dead, even under optimal conditions.

Hi there Keith44 and welcome to the board. Bucko may be right, but he could be dead wrong if the mansion owner knew his wines. If he bought 1st growth bordeauxs' which could and should be a probability as Lafite, Mouton, Latour, Matrgaux, and Hauit brion sold for around 1.50 to 2 bucks a bottle back then, and with the storage you mention being a hidden basement, you may have some treasures. Suggest you post the names of some of the wines off of the labels, and we'll give it the ole' college try. If you have unearthed a real stash, then if you want to sell, contact one of the major auction houses for a complete appraisal. Good Luck. WW

If you happen to find a '47 Lafite Rothschild in there, please let me know.
