I am a novice to wine. I would like to know where I can obtain a list that explains good years versus bad. Also is there a reference that explains why a year is good as opposed to bad.
Thanks

Welcome to the board. A good source of vintage charts is the Wine Spectator magazine, available in wine shops and by subscription. There are other sources, but that one is the most widely available.

As for what makes a good vintage versus a bad one.... weather in a particular wine's vineyard(s) of origin during the growing season and at harvest is the driving factor.

Hi,

For a decent vintage chart try wineontheweb.com

It has charts for most regions and countries.
