Another Newbie

Hi all, my name is Patrick (obviously) and I live in Florida. (Sorry to those looking for another Oregonian) [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/smile.gif[/img]
I have never been a wine drinker but fate decided I should be. I recently flew out to San Francisco for a long weekend with lots of plans in mind. Those dissolved quickly and I ended up in Petaluma, Ca visiting my Aunt and Uncle who are avid wine afficiandos. Between their influence and a wonderful day I spent driving through Sonoma and Napa Counties, I am completely hooked. [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/smile.gif[/img]
I am still learning which wines I prefer. I know I like reds and had thought Merlots would be my fave but I am now thiking I prefer Shiraz (Sirah).
Well I know I am rambling but just wanted to say hi to everyone and if there are any other Floridians here, I'd love to hear from you.

Welcome. We always like to see new blood here. Florida huh? One of the felony states for shipping wines..... my sympathies. I hope that you have a good selection in your area.
